Expert Foam Insulation Installation in Cumming, GA

Phil Wheeler Install handles foam insulation installation for homeowners across Cumming, GA and Forsyth County. We work in attics, crawl spaces, rim joists, walls, and floor cavities. Cumming sits in ASHRAE climate zone 3A, a mixed-humid region where summer humidity regularly reaches 60 to 80 percent in the evenings and July highs push near 88°F. That moisture load puts real pressure on under-insulated homes. Foam expands to fill gaps, cracks, and hard-to-reach cavities, creating an air barrier that standard batt insulation cannot match. Closed-cell foam is a strong fit for crawl spaces and rim joists where moisture resistance matters most. Open-cell foam works well in attics and interior wall cavities where air sealing is the main goal. Whether your home is a newer build near Georgia 400 or an older property with outdated insulation, we assess the space and apply the right foam type for your specific conditions. Call Phil Wheeler Install to schedule your on-site assessment in Cumming today.

Foam Insulation Installation FAQ

Common questions about foam insulation installation in Cumming, GA.

The right type depends on where the foam is being installed in your Cumming home. Closed-cell foam is commonly used in crawl spaces and rim joists for moisture resistance, while open-cell foam works well in attics and interior wall cavities for air sealing.

Foam insulation can be applied in attics, crawl spaces, rim joists, wall cavities, floor joists, and around fixtures and penetrations. Phil Wheeler Install assesses each area of your Cumming home before recommending where foam will have the most impact.

Yes, foam creates an air barrier that limits the amount of humid outside air entering your home. In Cumming's mixed-humid climate, this helps reduce indoor moisture levels and lowers the risk of mold growth in wall and attic assemblies.

Foam insulation can be installed in older Cumming homes, and in many cases it is applied alongside or after removing outdated material. Phil Wheeler Install evaluates the existing conditions before determining the right approach for your home.

Foam holds its shape permanently and does not compress or settle over time the way batt insulation can. Once installed correctly in your Cumming home, it maintains its air-sealing and thermal performance without routine replacement.

Contact Phil Wheeler Install to schedule an on-site assessment at your Cumming property. We review the spaces that need insulation and recommend the foam type and coverage that fits your home's specific conditions.

Phil is by far the most honest contractor I’ve ever met! He inspected the house we’re planning to buy and gave us an honest, professional opinion. Thanks to his expertise, we learned that the insulation doesn’t need to be replaced. I can only imagine how excellent his work would be. Thank you so much, Phil!

To prepare our home for sale, I wanted to replace our attic insulation as there was evidence of a rat issue we had some years back. After considering doing the job myself, I realized this was a huge undertaking. I found Phil Wheeler Install and he made it so easy!! His company removes all the old insulation (along with the signs of rats) fills any and all holes that pests use to gain access and filled our attic with clean, new insulation and will return for TEN YEARS to make sure the same amount of insulation exists—and adds more if it has settled. Great company and experience!! We got an offer for above asking our first weekend listed. Thanks, Phil!!

I spent about 10 months researching insulation companies, and around 7 quotes for open cell spray foam insulation for my attic. Our air handler is in the attic and in the peak summer heat, the temps approach 120 degrees. The air conditioner running 16 hours a day, and struggling to keep up. Phil came out and inspected what needed to be done to resolve this issue. Phil was knowledgeable knew the answers to our questions. We had open cell ICYNENE spray foam our entire attic sealing and encapsulating the space. I had one bonus room that was inaccessible from the main attic, that I removed sheetrock so the installers could spray foam the space. There was very little off gassing and smell. 6 hours after the spray foam the house could be occupied again. No odor. We've had a few hot days, and the attic would normally be over 90 degrees and temps have stayed a comfortable 76 degrees in the sealed attic. If you are looking for quality work, and doing the job right, I would not hesitate to call Phil Wheeler Install Insulation!

Great experience. Phil took his time to fully explain the different between products and why the recommended products are best for my project. Install went as planned without a glitch. Work is above and beyond expectations. Phil is down to earth unlike many contractors. He is very reliable, truthful—does what he said he would and beyond. Will be using him on additional projects in the house. Recommending him to all my friends and family. Highly highly highly recommend to all. Some pics from finished work.

Emilio and the crew did an awesome job on the clean-out (1979 attic space...yuk!), capping a venting chase, filling gaps with foam, and finishing off with NEW fluffy insulation + access tent/seal. Cleanup and removal of discards impressed me further to the point of adding gift cards for the team. Seriously, attic envy going forward, with the promise of checkups at 1-5-10 yrs in-service gives us the confidence to rate FIVE STARS. Great job, and exceptional service all around! Thank you very much.
